Tip From Jerome: Try Breaking Up Your Routine
If you're not fulfilled by your current workout routine due to time constraints, why not try breaking it up? Split workouts, twice a day, can give you good results, better sleep and a strong sense of accomplishment that you are sticking to your fitness goals. Multiple small workouts through the day can also boost your metabolism through the process of heating your body. You can increase your energy in the morning and the evening. Raising your heart rate is a great wake up. When splitting your workouts, consider prioritizing cardio training and resistance training. I'm not suggesting, however, that split workouts are a better choice than one full workout a day. But they are good for those days when you can't find a long enough block of time to get in a full workout. So don't stress yourself out when your schedule doesn't allow for an hour or two for exercise. The most unhealthy choice is to stop your workouts completely. Instead, consider two shorter workouts and give yourself credit for doing something healthy for yourself!
